I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience purchasing and using either of these rods?
Odyssey

Bullseye

If anybody else has any recommendations for a similarly priced rod and/or combo, let me know. Looking to use mainly for lure casting e.g. soft plastics and trout lures.
Cheers

Re: Jarvis Walker Odyssey or Bullseye Rods
My first plastics rod was a tsunami odyssey travel.rod. which i still.have.
I have also heard that the bullseye is not a bad rod.
So cant go wrong with either.
What reel are you matching it with?

It comes with its own reel but was thinking of pairing it with a 2500 reel.

Re: Jarvis Walker Odyssey or Bullseye Rods
Ive bought a pair of bullseye rod couple years back at kmart for 15bux clearance price. Just rods on its own, i paired it with a 2500 reel and i still use it today. Fantastic rod, wrangled a 90cm mulloway out of the nong and it held up nicely. Only problem i can see on it though is that them cork handle starts to slip and spin after vigorous use but other than that ive lifted 50cm+ silver trevallys clear out of the water from queenscliff and 1kg salmon from lorne. Good rod

Cheers mate. Anaconda have a sale and they're about $26 at the moment but the smallest they have is the 6'10" and i want to use it for trout. Bit big but might work?Kenle wrote:Ive bought a pair of bullseye rod couple years back at kmart for 15bux clearance price. Just rods on its own, i paired it with a 2500 reel and i still use it today.
