I arrived a bit before Mal ( Winchbitch ) and started to unload I undid the front hatch to remove the yak trolley and the yak was full of smoke
It seamed I did a CCA test on one battery by shorting aross the terminal



I put a 3 amp fuse in the line for the pos side on both batteries and had them in the hull with out them being pluged into the main loom.
going around a corner near the launch the neg side exposed pin on the short loom must have found the pos teminal
it did no damage apart from the pictured short loom

Well all was good I ran the sounder on 1 - 7.2 ah battery today and it turned off after about 8 hours that means using the 2 they shouldn't run down much under 1/2 charge

So off we went in search of Whiting we both got 1 each at the first stop and then the LJs moved in and were cleaning off baits pretty good
I picked up a 40 cm model LJ before making a couple of moves
thing were slow but whiting came along every now and then



my partner in crime in action I think Mal picked up around half a dozen



and my catch 9 whiting around 36 cm most of them and 3 LJs one at 40 cm

it was breezy at times today making it hard to keep a tight line with the yak moving a lot on the wind
still good to get a feed of whiting though

quite good , its faster than the older Kingfisher not that they are slow by any means
it seams quite stable again so was the Kingy
the Ice Box is great it fits gummies and will fit larger snapper piece of ****
where as there had to stay on the deck before

having a rudder makes cross wind and side on weather in general much easier the work with

all in all its a very good jigger -- but at 3 times the cost of the kingfisher it would wont to be
