Buy or make a foam enclosure for your transducer. SL Hobie sell them, I made mine out of a tile of EVA foam from Clark Rubber. Sikaflex that to the inside of the hull, leave something heavy on it and go away for a bit to give it time to cure. Then you fill the enclosure up with sikaflex and press the transducer into it all the way to the hull. This should remove any bubbles which important because bubbles will **** up the image on your sounder. Make sure it's properly set before moving the yak, it could take a day or so in this weather.

Then take it for a test drive, if the image is ****** get out the paint scraper and start over.
