Upgraded on a budget

Post by Toady king » Mon Jun 05, 2017 1:10 pm

Hey guys,
I want to sell and upgrade my kayak (aquayak scout) to something a bit bigger in width mostly and more stabile. I've got a budget of $600-$900. I plan on fishing just around Western port and port Phillip bay. The stuff I want to target is like whitting, pinkies and gummy shark. Im about 6"3 broad shoulders and about 115kg.
Are there any kayaks you would recommend or should I just stick to what I have and save up more ?

If you're tight on budget hold off.
Fishing WP I'd recommend 4m plus length either paddle or pedal.
Winter is a good time to buy generally prices are a bit lower. How long is your current yak?
Being 6.3 you don't want a little tub that's for sure.
Ask Cheater if he's selling his prowler.
Also how good is your balance

I was thinking of mentioning that but for a few hundred more he'd probably find one with a sounder and a few more ***** and bits. Unless he's handy with the MIG welder those rod holders will be a pain in the arse to replace
