Good to see abzz. I want to see you pull a landbasef jewie out of westernport. Couldn't have been too many people that have done it.

Nice fish abzz. I have kept a smaller jewie once as I wanted to see what it tasted like. However if I was to catch fish of the same size as what you have caught it would definitely be released. After afew pics. ;)
To fish or not to fish...NOT TO FISH ??Yea...like that's even an option !

Great catch abzz :a_goodjob: that's a great pinkie( I thought you would call that a snapper due to its size) also well done on letting it go
Good luck with WP hunt for mulloway

Hi mate, sounds like you have put in some solid hours chasing ghosts, I would say that Corinella pier, tenby point, stockyard point, san remo pier, hastings pier, bass river and Rutherford inlet (warneet) would be the pick of the bunch but you must put in a lot of time to work out right tides, time of year, moonphase and bait. My advise is that if you are looking for a big fish stick to your home ground and keep pumping out those BIG livies until it happens. I to have spent years ( about 10 now ) seriously fishing for these fish and always seem to do better in my local area. Doesn't hurt to do something different every so often but the yarra/nong/docks are very good places to find jew, especially if you already no where they hunt. The prob with wp is that you still have to sort through heaps of schoolies to hook the odd larger fish and you will find that it is a lot harder to find the schoolies in the first place than what it is local. cheers
