Starting to miss wetting a line, plenty of these puppies to be had, if you know where and how....

In shallow on sand,
Cut a flap style pilchard, hook completely buried/covered, small keeper hook holding bait straight.
You get one crack at it with this soft bait set up,,, they come on the bite real quick and shut down just as quick.
was caught on really light gear and seriously had my doubts about landing her, took maybe 25 minutes, the whole time I was not
confident of landing her,,,,, but was worth the effort.

Was expecting a WA report when I read the title. A local down this was gave me a few tips on pulling them out of the local estuary so I'm keen to give it a go some time when the wind isn't great for taking the yak out on the bay.

There a great fish to chase and different methods are used in different areas.
I wont give to much away, but, they are caught regularly off reefs further north and other places.
But a little known fact about them, is how they feed, in shallow......
Easy to find out, but truly unique for a fish,,, the rest is just finding the right territory, then your in with a shot.....
