Yes it was lip hooked. On a 1/6 oz TT jig 1/0 hook. :)
Well done Kasper great effort on light gear.

I take it these weren't the target species? Learning from this it would be worth casting out some live mullet in this area knowing that they are lurking in the depth and upping the tackle a little to avoid breakages in the future.

Jewie does not stink. It has no slime. Not unless you have a nose of a greyhound, you will barely notice someone is gutting a jewie next to you.

Nice eating fish. Never dries when fried.

Makes sense! We will always learn something, often by making a mistake and losing the fish....but not this time!!!! Spectacular effort!!!!!!!!
