Thanks mate. I've caught three Jews now. All have been on paternoster rig with pilchards - even when I've had livies in the water. Doesn't appear to be much rhyme or reason to me... Keep putting in the hours!

Thats so interesting. Everyone always says use live bait or lures. How was the fight?

Fights was impressive! Very different from Snapper - i.e. more erratic head shakes and sideways runs. Almost killed myself climbing solo down the ladder with rod in hand to grab them... hahaha

Seem to be a few around at the moment. First time fishing since the two above were caught and lucky enough for more success. Not a touch for three hours and then... Bang! And thanks to the guy who came running with the net too! Cheers bud.

Released to fight another day.
