Making lures

Hey everyone.
I haven't been catching anything this winter and have been getting a bit board. So I started thinking about making a lure or two to pass time in winter and then when the fish start biting again I might give it a shot. I was thinking of making a blade lure or a hard body lure.
Does anyone have any advice on making lures

Plenty of tutorials on how to make lures on youtube and the internet.
I recommend making a blade, probably more simple and easier to make. Good for beginners.

I made my first bottlecap lure today (look on youtube link in an earlier post of mine if you don't know what a bottlecap lure is). It looks pretty cool so if it's a good day tommorow i'll give it a go. Pic of it is coming soon :gone:
