The night sky here is full of stuff to see. Like Venus, mars, jupiter, saturn and andromeda.

I think the video is brilliant. These were the first humans to see the earth as a ball in space. In the video you get to here what is was like and how it affected them. They forgot to mention that on the first day out Frank Borman was sick from zero G. He vomited and much of it floated around for the rest of the trip.

It was an incredible achievement to send three people around the moon in 1968.

They saw sights none of us will ever see and some of the images and film footage they took is breathtaking. No sky on earth is as black as the true blackness of space due to our atmosphere. To see the earth as a blue marble hanging in that blackness would have been incredible.

Before my time but it’s still something that strikes me as an amazing achievement.

I feel like we’ve lost a lot of the vision and ambition to do anything like that these days which is a shame.
