She finally got her car back $6,000 later, but, some extra work
Found some paperwork in the car from Renault, closer to $14,000 than $13,000
She reackons it better to drive than my '96 laser, go figure

Car went back 2 days later,
Shuddering in lower gears
Still at repairers today
They did give her a loan car

Second hand CVT is the way to go, they are very reliable so your daughter is unlikely to run into issues with a second hand one.
