Losing payments
Got the phone call today, my workcover payments stop on the 24th of December
Yes Christmas eve. Have heard nothing from my employer.
If I don't hear from my employer, I'll put in sick, annual and long service leave forms.
That's about 6 months worth of leave
I am pretty sure work will terminate me on the same date, but we'll see
Retirement here we come

Re: Losing payments
Workcover is different, if you've been off for over 12 months they are not required to take you back. I will Have been off for 32 months, in December.Thetunaslayer wrote:You cant be terminated if your off sick.
Work have made it clear that, if I'm not 100% fit, they won't take me back and by law they don't have to.

Am 16% disabled and have been paid out accordingly
To claim loss of income etc, you have to be over 20% disabled
