a car sparky needed

Post by Wolly Bugger » Thu Aug 23, 2018 1:25 pm

I have BF ford, and I am having issues with the internal fan, for the heater, airconditioner.

There can be a huge delay between when the fan it turned on and before it actually begins to work.

Anyone have any ideas, apart from selling the vehicle.

Either the failed fan or the climate control computer.

Whilst not common the fan motor bearings can fail and become stiff making it hard for the fan to start up.

I would start but getting one from a wrecker and changing it out.

If not Sure -Change the hardwest working component-Fan
If something moves -It wears out

maybe fan speed resistor located behind the glove box does the fan work on all speeds ? is it noisy when you turn it on or smell?
