I've only just heard about this, but, some of you will already know that it happens
A courier does over 550,000kms in his van.
For $280 he gets a used 230,000kms dashbord installed.
SO - only buy a van with a complete logbook
Cheers Gra

This applies to any second hand car really. It pays to get a car history check if you are not confident and know what to look for. For digital odometers there is software available that can reprogram the reading so be careful with that also.

yep but why buy a van with that many kms just looking for trouble as with log book make sure everything sort of matches up km between services and time between services

Our work cars are turned over three years, fully serviced and maintained albeit slightly high k's (approx. 60-70k / year). In saying that, the utes don't miss a beat and the paint is fresh as theyre almost entirely vinyl wrapped.
