No way is that lightning. Looks like a firearm round triggering placed, underwater explosives...

I thought it was a tracer round due to the angle and colour I would have thought lightning would strike vertically and is a more whitish blue colour

Yeah it's b******* alright. The 'lightning' is actually the det cord setting off the underwater explosives.

Looks to me they blasted the entrance to the creek to deepen it, after the blast there's a lot of trees ? or sunken boat remnants floating in the water.
