Anyone else suffer from PTSD and using fishing as a release

Post by Mr Rich » Thu May 03, 2018 10:58 pm

Hi Gents.

I unfortunately suffer from PTSD and am looking for any fellow sufferers particularly in Melbournes Northern 'Burbs that are looking for a regular fishing partner.

Looking forward to any responses,

Mr. Rich

I don't suffer from PTSD but i do find myself stressing about bull that i really shouldn't be. Fishing is a great release. I think you'll find most members also fish for this reason. Where abouts do you usually go fishing? Have you been fishing for long? Maybe introduce yourself and what fishing you do so members can get to know you.

Cheers, Anth

Luckily I don't suffer from PTSD, but if I'm getting stressed or anxious about things, salt air seems to be extremely cleansing...even a walk up and down the pier seems to do the trick. Fishing is kind of like meditation but even better because you (hopefully) bring home a meal.
