time to bite the bullet

Post by smile0784 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 4:31 am

the wife is getting cranky with me over the temp of the house of the hot days and the evaprative cooling doesn't work when the outside temp over 26 degrees.

looking at getting a
Kelvinator C2.5kW H3.2kW Reverse Cycle Split System for the bedroom for $667 plus $650 install
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/kelvinat ... m-ksv25hrg

and a
Kelvinator C5.0kW H6.0KW Reverse Cycle Split System for the lounge and dinning for $1129 plus $770 install
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/kelvinat ... m-ksv50hrg

has any one had any issues with these models?
any stories good or bad?

Evap only lowers the inside temp bu 10 to 14 degrees to is pretty pointless when outside temp is over 30 degrees

Nope. I had 3 companies to call back in a week to confirm appointment time and no one did.

Also every one we spoke on the phone said pointless running evap cooling if temp over 30 degrees and so going to put that money to refrigeratated cooling cos i like it cold lol.
