Storage of Christmas decorations. How do you do it?

Everything that has nothing to do with fishing.

Storage of Christmas decorations. How do you do it?

Post by smile0784 » Mon Dec 18, 2017 2:07 am

Now that the silly season is apon us amd hopefully those who want to celebrate Christmas have finished setting ip there houses.

Just wondering how do people store there xmas decoration?
We have 3 x 140lt plastic boxes that sit on the top rack of the storage racks but seem to be running out of space,

Do people just though out the easy to replace stuff (tinsel, some light, tree balls, etc) to save room for good things.

Just interested on other people ideas

With those who go all out with 20 different sets of lighs out the front and all the blow up decoration,
How do you go about storing it all?

i use those plastic storage tubs, seems to work for me, i dont buy any new decorations so ive got the same amount to deal with next year.
now in saying that, the kids are attacking the tree like no tomorrow and i can see decorations all over the house.
one set of lights have stopped working, and few bits and bobs missing..
with the outdoor lights, mine came in buckets so it gets stored back in them and in the shed.

im sure ian will help you with the blow up dolls

Any string lights I have I roll up on empty electrical cable rolls, then store them in a tub. Next year unroll the rolls out, and no more tangles. Works for me

Edit: these are always in bins of houses being built once the electricians are done, there’s always a handful of them in the bin.

I stored mine in a wheelie bin, the garbo took them
I have 2 adult children (40ish), who have no children
They don't like each other
We get together for lunch & that's it.
