Agreed, although obviously guys like rex hunt and andrew ettinghausen are/were merely tv personalities hosting a fishing program. They aren't professionals in the field unlike brendan wing or paul worsterling. Basically every tip or piece of advice they would have given would likely have been pre-researched and scripted.

Not that their is anything wrong with that but they do seem a lot less educated on the subject than other actual professional fishos.

I find PW a pisser though, in a dweeby nerdy kind of way. Cops a lot of criticism on social media for some of the things he does, but if anyone else were fortunate enough to be in his position they would do exactly the same. I know i would.
Having met both ET and Rex you couldn't be further from the truth. Yes ET doesn't (or didn't when I met him) have the vast local knowledge of everywhere, hence his 'mates' he takes out for the show but the guy has more than enough knowledge and was still a bloody good angler in his rugby playing days. And Rex, him and yabby filling up boats full of Whiting back in the day. And having many a bag out session on his social trips, bloke more than knows his stuff...
i don't know, i watch episodes of ET and sometimes think, wtf is he talking about. he was a good presenter though, that's for sure.
also bagging out on whiting back in the day... not exactly something worth bragging about lol

happy to agree to disagree though
We're talking boat fulls, not bag limits. Even the last time I seen him and whoever he was with not all that long ago they had 37 all over 40cm on a day when not much came in and radio chatter was of little. The bloke can fish, his son can fish and his son in law can fish.

Completely not fishing at all, but my favourite YouTube channel is the captain. Gotta love some boat porn

Boat porn is new new to me.

Its almost the same as retail theory or window shopping lol
Pointless but priceless
Nothing like deep V's and bucketloads of big electronics. And throw in wavebreakers so you can really dream of being one of the cool kids

To whoever mention The Captain.. i have to agree there. Not a fishing channel, but one of the best for boat porn.

Also Dangar Marine is pretty addictive. His latest series on fixing up a steel trawler has me constantly checking for updated videos.
