" .. only wish there are more people like you". Steady on VooDoo & Fish-cador, it is abundantly clear that neither of you have encountered me late on a Saturday night - it's not necessarily pretty.

Well, it just so happens that the owner will get them back.

I posted this on a couple of other fora and lo and behold, more than two weeks later, the owner has emerged.

Methinks he's rather chuffed. I am . . . , I am getting more of a 'kick' out of knowing he's getting them back than what I would have by doing nothing.

It was only yesterday afternoon I came very close to losing something of my own. Wading a mountain stream and flicking flies along the way, I happened to have my near new Akubra dislodged by an overhanging tree branch.

My heart sank as it quickly moved off downstream in a fairly fast current. Tossed the rod up onto the bank, a little bush bashing and a little fast moving in the water and I finally caught up with it - probably 100 metres downstream.

Didn't know this old boy could move so quickly.
