Web Browers

Post by Wolly Bugger » Mon May 08, 2017 3:55 am

Ok computer nerds, What is going on.

Before anyone says it,

1) I have scanned my computer, it has anti virus and malware software.
2) All the soft ware is up to date.

Normally I use Google Chrome for most of my internet browsing, but lately a number of sites have been blocked and I cant veiw them even if I use the advanced. Fishing Vic can not be viewed by Chrome as it is blocked. so I have to use Firefox but even with Firefox, some I can not view some sites, and eventually start using Safari, when I use I then get that stupid pop up page for Mac Keeper and warnings that my computer has a virus.

With Chrome, I started getting these popup pages promoting things like Lad Brokes, which I have managed to stop.

For starters i would go to top right into history and clear browsing data [from begining of time, and after that is complete, should be on same page go to manage search engines and delete all other search engins except google chrome.I only use chrome. Then under settings i usualy tick boxes 2 3 and 5.

Thanks for bringing this up Wolly.

I too have been having troubles using the site, particularly when trying to make a post. I repeatedly get a screen which says ERROR 403. ACCESS FORBIDDEN.

It happens most often when I attempt to submit a post after first previewing it, although it also seems to happen at other random times.

Restore your pc to your last known good configuration. That is the one before you started having issues.

Stop visiting dodgy websites and porn sites.

Probably firewall or anti virus related. When you get the problem again, temporarily disable the firewall and or anti-virus and see if the problem goes away. This is a real quick and easy check to hopefully determine what path to go down.

An error message would help greatly. Could be your internet cutting out, could be the web server cutting out, could be your browser, could even be your computer it self is lagging. Try to recreate the problem and repost an error/ "You are blocked" message.

For the nuisance adds the way to go is adware remover by malwarebytes - and it is free.

As for the other issues is the computer a pc or a mac?

Best Wishes
