My upcoming transplant

Post by ncr1 » Sat Feb 18, 2017 9:39 am

Hi all,

I was diagnosed with a serious blood disorder over 7 years ago. In a couple of weeks, I will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try and cure me of this disease. I've recently setup a blog to tell my story and document my journey during this process and thought I would share it with the fish Vic crew. You can find it here:

Regards,
Dane.

I wish you all the best mate for you and your family. Having just had our first child 4 months ago to the day, I couldn't imagine the prospect of not being around for him later on in life so I truly hope your transplant works out for you and you get to experience the full joy of fatherhood.... and even land a few big fish along the way!

Good luck with the transplant. I was visiting my father in the UK in 2012 when he fell and broke his hip only to be diagnosed with myeloma. The specialist said didn't you notice the signs lack of energy falling asleep my dad responded I am 80 I thought that was normal. He always was a comedian.

Good luck, you'll be fishing again in no time, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
