Steering Stiffness

Post by Beno » Thu Feb 02, 2012 12:54 pm

G,Day Guys

Finally took the boat out and ran like a dream, and was very pleased how stable and well it handled in the chop.

My question is what would you guys reccomend to fix the steering stiffness? its not really bad but is hard at times to turn left.

Cheers

I am no expert in this field but you will get some torque resistance back through the wheel with some steering setups, some undampened cable, & single action hydraulic ones can give you this sort of feel.

what sort of boat did u get? I bought a revival from jv with an etec 90 on it. after a few trips of turning like a mac truck we went to jv to look at the other boats. on the motor we found there are 3 pins along the hydrolic steering rod. ours was for some reason on the very front pin. we moved it to the back and we can now steer cm perfect as dennis would say
