If I remember rightly for the old 25hp Johnson, that motor would probably be an older white cast body Johnson written in blue(or maybe black) with orange and blue , or orange and grey lines on it ? . Or if really old , Johnson , then black birdie , then 25 chrome in red box ?
Or you got an old rare gold cover one ?

If it's just the old alloy shaft that hold's the throttle and tilts the motor , this is a common problem with old motors.
Sometimes its just easier to file or grind both sides of the break flat , then drill both ends with a 9 mm drill bit, and tap it out with a new 12 thread using a tap set, and insert some 12mm threaded rod ( using locktite ) to join/screw the broken rod/handle back together.
Is it an old alloy setup that broke, or even older cast metal setup ?

Might be able to get the part your after if you cant fix it , I Know a bloke with a few old Johnson motors down Bairnsdale way.

Cheers , Rick.
