Just remember that a particular type of baot will be worth so much. It then depends on how much of that money you want to pay upfront and how much you need to pay after the purchase.

Cost of Boat of that Type = Purchase Price + Cost of additional equipment\repairs\motor service\etc

So you will end up paying the same, 'sometimes' it could be better to get a solid boat upfront and then to worry up getting Seaworthy.

Have a look at brand new as well as tinnies have the highest resale value of any boat. When we bought ours 5 plus year old tinnies were at 85-90% of brand new price.
