Don't need a road worthy for boat or work trailers
Just need inspection by cos roads staff
Smiley, what does that inspection involve?

And are Road-worthies for any transfer of cars or only that cars scheduled time?

Vic roads dont need to see the trailer.
You just need to go with the appropriate paperwork.

They quockly looked over the trailer, checked the lights worked and made sure the trailer brake handle worked took 5 mins. Measured the overhang from the axle to rear of motor

I bought my boat in NSW boat rego through Vic roads change form. The trailer, no need for a roadworthy only certain Vic roads offices do trailers you have to take it for an inspection to ensure it conforms to Vic rules ie lights width etc. mine didn’t have the trailer serial number stamped into the frame I had to take it home get it stamped then return, Vic roads were very helpful I did mine at sunshine

Not sure mate. That's my experience when registering an old trailer without any paperwork and vin number etc etc.
I didnt need to take the trailer in. Just the paperwork.
