And not sure why they discontinued them - assuming they made way for a newer model of sorts....

Dunno. They're all based off the old Bertram designs and haven't changed all that much since International Marine first started in the 60s. Theyre all similar from a Cobra up to a 2400. The Belmont hasn't changed except for the bow sprit, rear seats became removable in the 90s, slight dash redesign and ever so slight transom scallops since that model was introduced in the 80s.

If it ain't broke don't go trying to fix it would have to be their motto
I agree cobby , , , , change isn't always better

Cheers, Bug
Bugatti, given the rarity of the adventurer I feel it’s my duty to provide you with some spank bank material....

Sad, The Reefy has proven the test of time , , , , The Adventurer & Intruder would have done too

The Adventurer was the half cab redesign of the Intruder, that obviously wasn't to popular. The Cavalier is a more traditional cuddy cab redesign of the Adventurer with what looks like more deck space. If you were to get a ruler out on the bottom hull of the Riviera, Intruder, Adventurer and Cavalier wouldn't be all that much different.

I agree cobby, those hulls, notwithstanding a tweaked chime or two, are the same bottom hulls.

Now, I'm no Boat Building expert, and I don't advocate to be, nor am I a Business/Product/Market expert either BUT.

The Reef Runner has been a "stayer", with a tweak here and there as the years have gone by to keep it "up to trend". The Intruder should have been the same , , , , instead of "redesigns" which dramatically change the Boat to follow assumed trends, similar tweaks should have happened with it. The Adventurer is possibly the most they should have "modified" the Intruder, as it still is a good boat and a "modern Intruder".

Cuddy Cabs work with smaller boats, but there is no need to Cuddy a 19 and a half footer that the Intruder/Adventurer are. With the smaller boats you do gain deck space at the expense of the Half Cab. AND the lower cost hence the lower cashed up customer, gets more deck for same size boat. BUT the higher cost of a 19+ footer means you have a higher cashed up customer who then has a Cuddy Cabbed boat and now has the cash to Canopy it up, making less usable deck space and effectively more covered (Cabin like) space , , , , which defeats the purpose of a Cuddy Cab. So a Cuddy in the larger boats is a false sense of extra deck space.

Two Cavaliers all Canopied up, notice the less usable deck space

The Intruder top
The Adventurer middle
The Cavalier bottom

The Cavalier is no better off with deck space (as result of extra Canopy) than the Intruder/Adventurer , , , , also especially as the rear of the top hull/transom area of the Cavalier eats inwards into the deck.

The Haines Group worked this out the hard way, when they bought Seafarer Boats and tried adding "Haines Signiture" improvements to them. They now have the Seafarer back the way it was AND run it separately.

A Bugatti prophecy , , , , the Adventurer/Intruder shall make a comeback :-D

Cheers, But Cuddy/Half Cab people would always agree to differ, Bugz

Bee Humble the first on boatsales is an insane setup the others below need a side dive door I believe not essential but would help for game angling even though I believe be humbles should be on the skippers size. If you can sleep in the cab these are looking good.

Bee Humble is a nice rig.

I like the addition of those grab rails down the external sides of the hard top.

I always liked the look of cruisecraft boats till I saw them at my first boat show and found them lightly built. If you hit the side of the boat with a closed fist then compare the noise and flex of the boat with similar boats the hull flex’s quite a bit.

They're nice boats, very well finished and bee humble is well decked out. But for me with $200k and a choice of seeing the Savage's at Streaker or elsewhere, the car would be full of fuel and I'd be driving to Cann River and getting Erick Hyland to build me a 263L

Cobby I know the manufacturers and their models to some extent not the builders. Do you have experience in the boat building industry?

When manufacturers aren't the builders
quality is not always their highest priority
