Post by Fishomicko » Sun Apr 28, 2019 4:29 pm

Hi all
I've recently been thinking of selling my boat on boat sales.com I just want to know if anyone on here has sold one on there,I'm know there's a advertising fee to put it on there but not sure if there's another fee once sold and can't be bordered looking though all the fine prints,if someone has sold one and knows the costs let me know.
Thanks in advance mick

I have never sold anything on boat sales but I have on car sales which I believe would be similar. There was a once off fee to list and depending on the price you are asking as well as the add type varied between about $60 to $150 which was until sold. Maybe give gumtree a go first thats free I think. Good luck with the sale!

Or Facebook marketplace. A lot of people in it now. Plus, you can see the buyer, a bit more assurance that they are a legit person.

I sold mine on Gumtree which is free.

You will have to deal with the occasional tyre kicker though.

I had my tinny listed for $5000. One bloke asked my how much just for the outboard. I replied $5000, it comes with a free boat and trailer.
Another bloke offered me $2000 or something, i said good luck mate.
The first person to actually come and look at it did buy it though.
