Cleaning Squid Ink

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning squid ink off of white fibreglass?

After 2 successful outings in a row the Haines Hunter is starting to look more like a commercial squid boat with ink spots all over the place, inside and out. So i am after any tips on how to clean the stuff off. Obviously the best bet is to clean it as it happens, but sometimes that isnt really possible. Especially when they hit the hull on the outside of the boat.

A quick search seemed to point me towards Chux Magic Eraser, which i am going to go and pick up today. But if anyone else has any products that they use i am willing to give them a try.

Outside on a fibreglass boat, any polishing compound from a auto store should work. use it on a microfibre cleaning cloth and it should come off. but the magic eraser stuff might be easier to use id say..

for the insides i usually wipe it off as soon as it happens, if you let it dry then its harder to get off. so a wet/damp towel on board is the best bet.

UPDATE:

I picked up the Magic Eraser yesterday from the supermarket. The large one comes in a pack of 2 for about $5 and i am pleased to report that it actually does what it is meant to do. It is basically a fine white sponge, you dip it in water and wipe it over the surface and the ink pretty much wipes off (even days after it dried). I dunno how it works, but it does.

One sponge was enough for me to clean the squid ink off the smooth figreglass surfaces (90% of the boat). However non slip fibreglass does tear through the sponge pretty easily so it isnt ideal for those surfaces.
