Embarresment
Today launched at Mornington and left the dog in the car, whilst I launched the boat and after mooring the boat, went to the car only to find I had been locked out. Somehow the bloody dog managed to lock the bloody car.
The driver's side window was down but I couldn't fit my arm in, went to find someone with skinner arms and then a bloke pointed out that the passenger side windows were also down and fortunately I could just get my arm inside the car and unlock the car.
I had visions of waiting for the RACV to arrive whilst stuck on the ramp.

Re: Embarresment
Lucky the other side was just down far enough or you might have been waiting there for awhile.

your car has power windows i think from memory, and im guessing the engine was running while you launched the boat. next time maybe see if you can reach the window switch using a pole or something and your done..

I actually don't think she would have allowed another person to out their arm in through the window.smokin_reels wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:22 amWhat sort of dog do you have?

I actually went squidding and if she could have she would have jumped in and retrieved the squid jigs.

Yeah if someone put their arm in my car with my hound in there they'd lose it lolWolly Bugger wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:36 amI actually don't think she would have allowed another person to out their arm in through the window.smokin_reels wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:22 amWhat sort of dog do you have?

How did you train your dog to be a boat dog? Would love to take mine with me but wondering how I'd manage to do it. He's a big dog, so would be hard to lift up in a boat

Only take her out occasionally, she weighs about 25kg.Kimtown wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 10:04 amYeah if someone put their arm in my car with my hound in there they'd lose it lolWolly Bugger wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:36 amI actually don't think she would have allowed another person to out their arm in through the window.smokin_reels wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:22 amWhat sort of dog do you have?

What I do. is tie up at the lower pontoon so she can jump on board and off when we get back in. The lead stays on and is attached to the boat, just in case she wants to go for a swim. I have another dog as well, and I use to take both out, but now one at a time. The other dog decided he wanted to go for a swim.
Fortunately, I was only going slow at the time.
