Lake Eildon - Secure Car/Trailer Parking

Post by eddyj443 » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:42 am

Looking for some advice on where to leave my car/trailer at Lake Eildon while out on the lake.

Planning on going to Lake Eildon and camping for a couple of nights camping at one of the VicParks boat access camping spots. Wondering where is a suitable / safe place to leave my car / trailer during this time?

Planning on putting the boat in at Alliance Boat Ramp or Lakeside (VicParks). However happy to pay to use one with secure parking / caravan park if anyone knows a place?

Thanks

Eddy plenty of places where you could leave your vehicle like the caravan parks for a small fee, but if you launch at jews creek the holiday park up the road would be a good place to start, try calling them first, it will be a bit of a walk back to the ramp bout 20min or so, the caravans parks are way to far away on foot if you launch at the wall,,, OR you could launch at Fraser Nat park ramp if there is enough water and camp beside the ramp, nice spot and the ranger lives a stone's throw away.
Lot of thieving going on up there now at the ramps with vehicles being left overnight.
Good luck Eddy.

Thanks for the advice

Launching at Jerusalem Creek and parking at the caravan parks seem the best option. Doesn't look a far walk on Google.
