My fish pro

Post by Kimtown » Wed Feb 27, 2019 8:26 pm

As some of you may be aware, i picked up the new fish pro last night. I took it to blue rock after work for a quick evening session and was greeted with a nice 15 knot easterly. Perfect to test the waters. It handled really well and cut through the small chop like a hot knife through butter, although I did get a touch wetter than expected. Might have pushed the 5 knot speed limit once or twice  When at anchor/drift it sits really really well. It maybe even more stable than my 4.8m tinny and I'm not even exaggerating.

The garmin 63c (I think) sounder is really nice and easy to use.. I sounded some good marks near a bank of what I assume were good fish (need to become a little bit more familiar with the device before I definitely call it for fish) but driving the machine around was just too much fun to wet a line lol.

Forgot my gopro mount this time :( I'll post some more feedback and reports once I use it a little more but very excited to go out again

All you need is a 3" lift kit, 35 muddies that haven't seen dirt in their lifetime, big **** off black bull bar and rear step then you'd fit right in with the jetski crowd

Gonna take it down to refuge cove this Sunday for a day trip. Should get a good idea on how it rides with ocean swell/chop, as well as fuel economy etc.

Might take a couple big rods incase I come across a school of kings a long the way and 1 light rod for some squid around there too!

Looks great mate.

Heading to refuge, I hope the weather is kind and you have enough fuel.

Yeah I hope so too haha

45~km each way.

I've googled that they can get 150km to a tank on economy mode but like I said Google so grain of salt..

But going off that and rule of thumb, 1/3rd way there, 1/3rd way back and 1/3rd spare.
If it looks like getting short might just stop at sealers instead.

Great ride Kimtown, glad the test drive went well for you. I never knew that Sea Doo make a fishing platform vehicle.
As the young'ns say "Oh my God mate, Killa"

My advice is maybe re-badge it

Enjoy, and good luck on Sunday
