Forgot the anchor

Post by Mattblack » Sat Jan 19, 2019 7:02 am

So I forgot to pull up the anchor before taking off the other day...I was sober, wasn’t tired, no excuses just careless. I only realised my mistake when my little deckie said there was a shark chasing the boat.
My question is, how did the rope/chain not get caught in the motor & what other potential disasters did I miraculously avoid?

Your lucky it didn't get caught in prop and twist the propeller shaft or drive shaft or mesh up bevel gears or seize up the motor and get stuch in middle of no where lol

If the anchor didn’t free itself from the bottom you could’ve capsized your boat i guess.

That’s a fair effort

I did it once and the anchor slapped under the boat and put a hole in the fibreglass, was only young but I learned the hard way. In a hurry to go nowhere fast.
