Re: Werribee South no more ticket machine
The ticket machines were pulled out a fare while ago, due to vandalism
3 ways to pay -- smartphone app, website & (for residents) annually
Comes in October/November
You should note that the council have worded the fee as a "fee for parking", not a fee to use the ramp. This may have something to do with Rex and others push for ramps to be free.

Re: Werribee South no more ticket machine
I use the pay stay app, its actually not to bad your in control start stop.
Say 2P is $4 and you stay 30min only and you stop your app it only charges you 30min not full fare.
If you stay 50min and stop it only 50min is charged. In a way its not bad, however in other ways it will catch people out.
As in your time is up and you re start your app again for another 2 hours, you still get fined as council would say you need to move your car and start the timing then.

Sounds like another Myki balls up. Just pay someone at the ramp to take fee's like has always been done.

Re: Werribee South no more ticket machine
It's the case with quite a few ramps, the fee is actually a parking fee and not a launching fee as those councils have 0 control of the actual boat ramp. Which is rich coming from 1 in particular that doesn't charge a cent for parking a car anywhere else in the whole shire...Texas wrote:The ticket machines were pulled out a fare while ago, due to vandalism

Re: Werribee South no more ticket machine
Also from experience at Altona while the person is trying to pay at the ramp, very often the que is slowed down while they are on the phone
