New clears
The time has come to buy new clears for my boat I am going with Bundoora boat upholstery. A mate who has a 6 mt bass straight had his made there and they are awesome.
The choice of construction I have 3 poly carbonate, vinyl or sumbrella fabric. I am leaning to the poly carbonate he assures me no water will get through. Any body had any experience with the poly carbonate clears

Re: New clears
Either way Nudes, I'm keen to see what you do here,
That' another job I've got to get done.
Some picks when done would be great, and your opinion.

Re: New clears
I have spoken to the minister of finance tonight thumbs up. They are not cheap $3800 but I am sick of getting wet when I cop a wave over the boat.blacklab99 wrote:Either way Nudes, I'm keen to see what you do here,

Re: New clears
Yeah, I'm hearing you.
My old one was the old type, so it collapsed when traveling, but had someone out it real bad conditions before I started restoring, and they actually
bent one of the bars.
There was a crowd down Dandenong way, cant remember there name, few people recommended them a while back,
They were around $2500 ish, but your boats bigger than mine i think.]
There a big outlay nudes, but pretty important I recon.
I'll try and dig out the name of the company.
You Sir, are now my Guinea Pig ! LOL

Re: New clears
Nudes,
It was Avtec covers in cranbourne.
I'd heard a few people recommending them, that they were well priced and did good work.
It might be a bit off track from where you live, dunno.
But it may be well worth a call, could be worth the drive if, they do good work and you can save some coin.

Re: New clears
I like the man hole canopy setup no clears to worry about going cloudy. Bit of spray on clears and you cant see much even when they are new.
For clears I would get cheap ones as after buying the best vinyl clears money can buy they were stuffed after 4 years (cloudy and in need replacing).

Re: New clears
Hardtop would probably cost a bit more then you still need to have clears.
If you would like a fully enclosed wheel house with glass windows it is an entirely different ball park.
