What type of boat do you have Denis?
Powerwinch gets my vote had one before and never had any issues. Alot of older guys at the ramp still use the old starting motor with pulley and they are very quick at retrieving maybe try making one up if your handy will be alot cheaper.

Its only a 420 Quinnie
Ive got the gear for a starter motor one but got the Shi##trying to make a bracket for it.
One day one of those old Greek guys with the starter motor ones will get there hand or head ripped off as they dont have a safety guard

Your boat will be well under 1000kg so no need for sonething extreme. Like I said earlier the Powerwinch gets my vote but probably a bit over the top for your boat but well worth the money. Lol your probably right about the people using starting motors hahaha.

Have you thought about a quick hitch as another option?

I use to have 1 very similar to that.
Only thing is you need a over ride handle on the side to manually winch on boat if power fails othwrwise your stranded
