Everyone will have their own opinions but for me...the 2nd one is more than enough. On a trailer boat, it is very unlikely you need anything more heavy duty than this. Ie....you wont be pulling the engine down in PPB. I carry probably somewhere between pic 1 and pic 2.

Good point but better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it to a point

I carry a small toolbox plus spare bungs,fuses,shackles,greased wheel bearings I even carry a spare breakaway brake lanyard,my theory is if you carry it you will never need them if you don’t you will.
I also carry an adaptor that fits the Yamaha water flush Port so if my water pump fails I can connect the deck wash to it to cool my engine so I can get home.

I have a different tool box for the trailer when i go on long trips
Extras are bearings, grease, hoses, shackles, extra blocks for jacking up the trailer, hose and wash down gear, spark plugs, inline fuses, oil, jack

I carry the same as most but also a length of thin wire i can stick in the tell tale if I happen to suck up a bit of sand and blocks the hole

Funny you say that.....i actually wrote words to the affect of......its one of those things, its a waste of money until you need it one day and in view of that....more is best. I thought this sounded stupid so deleted it before I posted!!

Yes alot.

Alot more spares and tools in the nt .....and touch wood i can fix it myself.

Tuna tube is begging to come and change your props mick remember every body should have one and he will wash your boat for you
