Pros and cons to removing the back seat?
I been thinking about removing the back seat for a while now to make more room for the eski.
What are peoples thoughts on it?
Also where would i put the 2 battery boxes and battery switch that are in the seat?
Ideas?

I think it would be good not having the seat there when your fighting a big snapper, gummy or shark etc.. or when theres a hot bite and your reaching for rods maybe.. might just be better to have a clear walkway, but not sure where your batteries would go. is there any space at the back there that they could hide under? On my boat my batteries are close to the motor underneath

Re: Pros and cons to removing the back seat?
*dont put them out the back on the transom/pod/rear deck area...too wet and exposed...even in boxes
You could move the batteries up to the front of the boat...but then you bring in Loooonnng battery cables, which can create problems in starting, charging etc.
Best to just keep them in there, or modify the rear of the boat, ie, get a fabricator to make that whole rear area esky, batteries, storage...

Re: Pros and cons to removing the back seat?
if you need to move the batteries then it means extending the wiring which is a PITA.
i personally would get rid of the seat but it will come with consequences like the re-wiring and re homing the batteries..
the other option is to place the esky on the seat, that means no seating room though
