Headlights and other lighting options

Post by sturgeon » Sat Dec 02, 2017 8:55 pm

Was wondering any of you install headlights or spotlights in your boats to help light the way when it is dark? If so, what are the suggested options? Thanks!

This has already been discussed.

In short headlights or spotlights are useless as there is not anything for them to be reflected off of. They are good for marking up channel markers, like the Warneet or Hastings channels at night.

I put them in my hull when i built my boat.

They were abt 150 each plus the wiring.

There absolutely fantastic...one off the best things i put in my boat.

Ive used them for prawning ,navigatng at night around trees when im cod or barra fishing, loading the boat at night ect

Fantastic option.

Cheers bm

He'd be able to see a lot better than the boat without lights coming towards him ;-)
