Went with the 90. I have a feeling that I am going to lose a bunch of money when I sell the boat in a few years time :-(

Cant look at it like that.
If you obky want it for few years get a reconditioned motor.

A new.motor is a 7year plus plan

Thanks for the reassurance and the advice. I am a bit of a realist. Haha. I hope I made the right choice. I am looking at the used ones which are like 4-6 years old, and they are asking like 38-39k with the 70hp motor.That was why I decided to spend a little more to get brand new. Guess my little more turned out to be nearly 10k more with the 90hp motor. Guess that's just the way with boats
