Dangerous Behaviour Werribee South Boat Ramp

This is a message from Mark at Wyndham City Council:

I work for Wyndham City Council and have just had a Werribee South Ramp
User advise that yesterday (13 November) while out on the Bay fishing, a
person has tampered with their car and trailer parked at the Werribee South
Boat Ramp Car Park.

They removed a pin from the trailer which resulted in the trailer
unhitching from the car while retrieving their boat. Had this occurred
driving home, the result could be catastrophic.

Ask fishers to keep an eye on the car park and report to Police any
suspicious behaviour and to always check their trailer before driving from
the car park.
Thank you

Considering the revenue raised from ramp fees, where's the video surveillance?? At least a boomgate blocking off the carpark to stop every bum & their mum that don't need to be there, from driving through the carparks.

It's happening more and more.

I suggest everyone that owns a boat get 2 things. A lock on their trailer ball hitch and a pin that you can actual lock for the tow ball.

Where do you buy the lockable pin Anth?

I looked for a lock to replace my split pin but couldn't find one that would fit.
Cheers,
Neil
