Ski Pole

Does anyone use a ski pole on their Quintrex (or similar)? I was going to get one for towing the kids and some water skiing, however was told by one dealer not to get one as they cause too much stress on an aluminium boat, yet was told by another that there is no problem with them.

Has anyone got one and how have you found it?

we used to tie a bridle to the back, but if it was a heavy skier they'd make the back of the boat step out when they cut turns. Ive seen some guys use a 'roll bar' kind of thing

I've done the same using a bridle for tubing etc. Seemed to be fine with two people on tubes out the back. Was a bit heavy but did it no worries. If water skiing though ski pole so the rope is up high enough

make sure you insurance knows about you towing a biscuit/ski person etc .
you will not be happy if you need to make a claim otherwise...

public liability id say..
they ask you when your taking the insurance whether or not you will be towing a biscuit, skiing etc (of course all ok if you have already mentioned that when taking up the policy)
i guess the cover and premium is different when water sports is involved is the only explanation i can give..

Yeah Purple5ive is correct, premium goes up as it allows for injury and accident insurance for anyone performing the activity.
If you are doing these activities I would make sure the cover is in place. Easy for something even minor to go wrong and cost a bit of money without insurance.
