You mentioned low hours, for rec boats 99% of motors will rust out before they wear out so focus on the age rather than the hours.
Typical life of an outboard is around 20 years.

Looks like a V6 2 stroke motor probably original and the trailer probably has 2-3 years left in it.

IMO from the limited information provided it is worth high 20's if there is no rot in the transom, floor and stringers.

Just so you are aware if you need a new trailer steel 7k, alloy 10k and a new 4 stroke motor will be around 23-25k.

My calculations are
Hull 1.64t
Motor 350kg

Thats 2 ton. Add trailer min 500+kg

Add 200kg for fuel
Add 50kg for electronic
Add 100kg for.fishing gear

If you go on a game fiahing trip add 4 blocks at 80kg eack plus eskys and luggage 450+kg

Almost 3.2+ ton in weight

I think that is on the high side but a hilux is probably not quite up to the task.

Based on the specs of a 2002 model the BMT will be under 2000kg then add 200kg of fuel and 500kg for gear, ice, eskies, food, water ect. Probably a right on 2500kg.

500kg for gear?? what the hell are you fishing with man bricks for sinkers??
or have i missed something totally obvious?

i can understand ice/esky food and water. all those would weigh a max of 100kg at most (pendign what sort of esky you buy as thats whats going to kill it
wheres the rest of the 400kg coming from?

The equipment/gear adds up quickly.

500kg is a figure I have come to from experience of putting several boats of similar size on weight bridge compared with manufacturers specs.

Batteries, stainless, bait board, electronics, canopies, fishing equipment, safety gear it all adds up.

Yep sorry that wasn't clear with my original post.

The 70 size 100Ahr batteries commonly used in boats are 28-30kg each ;).

yeah that 30kg X 2 for the second battery..
the 125ah battery i have for my trolling motor weighs 47kgish which what i based the battery weights off.
you would def be having 2 batteries on bigger boats like that..

True but very few would pass it up.

Nothing better than being out in the salty blue water.

You have been given lots of good advice here so I will not add much. Having owned 4 boats from 16 to 24 feet ( 2 each glass and aluminium) and having looked at many used boats before buying any of them I have some experience! I suggest you go and look at a reasonable number boats in your size range. You will quickly get to see boats that have been used and abused and boats that have been well looked after. People sell boats for all sorts of reasons and you need to be careful as possible to avoid taking on someone else's problems as this can prove very costly. When you look at a boat and it meets your needs take your time and check out everything as carefully as possible - and ask for manuals and service records. Then you will get a good idea of what works and what does not because everything that does not work will cost you. Best of luck!

Pretty sure new hilux sr5 is rated to 3200kg might even be 3500kg
