Cheers BM what is steering me clear from the manual is if I am fishing solo being able to get the rigger up in a hurry if required.

Winding manual downriggers up & down all day long can wear a bit thin sometimes. A pair of cannon leccy downriggers have been on my wishlist. A reputable brand that produces a quality product. Can't see how you could go wrong really.

I do it easy....they wind quick.

often its only a meter to raise it over some trees ect.

I mostly only use mine in the fresh though...dart, ekdion, uce , bulli merri, ect
