Out of curiosity Scott, what made you go for the extreme over say a surtees /bar crusher etc

I've got the 605 at the moment, absoutely love it so it was a natural progression to upsize. I recon the Extremes blast surtees and barcrusher out of the park on ride and build quality, and design of the cockpit.

Have you driven the other ones for comparison before?

The reason I ask as sometime in the future I might be looking for something in that range....

Yeah back when we bought the last extreme, I test drove the Barcrusher, Surtees, extreme and Evolution. The Extreme was the clear standout, by a mile

very nice boat those extremes. kiwis do build a good boat.
white pointer, dickeys.
we have MODA up north that do a decent boat. but those exremes for the dollar look very nice. great welds. nice finish. lovely.

Great looking boats, Scott. Why ally over a glass hull?

There's a few reasons. More boat for your $$$, weight (I do a lot of towing), easier to clean and so on.

Our last fibreglass boat cracked from transom to bow, turned me off fibreglass.

Lastly, the Extremes are just such great looking boats, and the ride quality is up there with the fibreglass's

There certainly is a lot of boat for the $. There seems to be some competition in the ally / glass choices seeing what was on show this year. Look forward the the pics of your rig.
