I went back to the boat show this morning and placed an order for a Mclay 521 Sportsman.

Naturally I spent more than I meant to but I just made it inside my budget.

As standard, it comes like this:

Nice one! One thing I would consider is an anchor winch, makes life a lot easier :P But sounds like an awesome boat that will be a lot of fun!

Congrats on the purchase. Agree with scraglor about anchor which. Will become invaluable, and when spending that amount of cash may aswell spend more. Worthwhile upgrades either way, especially more fuel and more ponies on the back

I'll be using the Minn Kota for holding position so the only time I expect to anchor is when I'm chasing gummies where I will only be anchoring once per session. It was an either or situation between a winch or a trolling motor.

I went overboard with the MK so I get auto deploy/store with it. Cost heaps but I wanted to get the best I could afford.

I I had a look at them....look very good.

The 80 liter fuel tank is a great idea
