Mounting a Minn Kota

Just after any advice or ideas for mounting my electric motor. Should I just cut the section out i've marked in the pic or is there better options? Thanks.

Yes you will have to cut the pole to deploy the minn kotta

You could hinge it instead of removing it but it will be a pain in the arse as well as being more trouble than it's worth.

You could cut that whole bow rail off and put a slightly different style in that won't look out of place with the leccy.
