Re: Dash setup.
did you make sure you left so adjustment on the brackets so you can fine tune the transducer position.
by looking at the picture you seem to have 2 screws on the top and bottom of the bracket, which means no chance to adjust

Re: Dash setup.
I dont think the height is adjustable anymore mate.
Angle of the transducer yes. But height is out of the question.
But if its the same size as the old one and it was reading at speed then all good.

HI Chris,ChrisAbout wrote:To cover up older holes I used black acrylic cut to shape. Cost me $30 for both.
I then used marine silicone to stick it to the original dash and then mount my stuff on it.
I use Navionics Gold running on an iPad2 enclosed in a waterproof hard case.
Do you mind if I ask where you got the black acrylic cut? I like what you have done and I also want to fill in a hole which was made by a sounder which 5 years ago I thought was a good idea to dash (panel) mount but now regret that decision.
Cheers,
Terry

Your missing the point by a mile.bowl wrote:Bracket on boat is adjustable-have not drilled new holes....
The holes that are already there are at both extremes of the bracket. Aka you can neither lift the transducer higher or lower to get a better reading (if you need to)
The older bracket had more adjustability. You can see the slots are longer so ot cam be moved up or down.
Only other way to do it is to only use 2 of those screws not all 4. Id say the new transducer only needs 2 not 4 screws

Akk. Ok fair enough then. When iseen the screws on the bottom i thought is how you were going to install it.
Hopefully it reads properly first time around.
