Yamaha parts

Post by Nude up » Tue Mar 07, 2017 5:54 pm

A year ago I bust a wire where the engine electrical harness gets bent as you tilt the motor. I repaired it then another wire broke which I repaired but I was losing confidence in the harness.
Today I dropped into port Phillip boating centre I was going to buy a harness extension cable so I could bring the repaired wires into the boat so they don't keep getting bent. I have always found them very helpful he found a new harness 7mt long and it only cost $130 I couldn't believe the price. So Thursday I will swap it over and I can stop worrying when out in the boat.

Good job replacing the harness, takes the fun out of boating if you're worrying about breaking down. They service my motor and I'd definitely see them first If I wanted a new Yamaha.

I wish it wasn't so hot thursday I spent 5 hours pulling the old loom out and pulling the new loom through. Its all up and running I feel a lot better now although I have a lot of scratches on my arms hopefully I will get to test it next week
