How busy is Altona boat ramp?

Post by MinimumChips » Thu Nov 17, 2016 12:06 pm

Forecast looks good for the weekend. Considering wetting a line one morning. Can anyone advise just how busy Altona boat ramp at this time of year? Should I bother, or consider other locations?

avoid Altona at all costs, 1.5 hours to retrieve boat @ 2300.

150 boats around the cardinal when we got there around 18:30, all because 2 boats caught a few fish

stupid mates think that where there is boats there is fish, have told them numerous times this isn't the case, they learned well last night

Altona is a nightmare
ran out of parking last night
ticket machine busted and the council still issue fines
Pontoons are too close together and make the ramp congested.
better off launching from Werribee or Stkilda
